Chris Salas
President
Chris, as President of Salas Plumbing started in the Plumbing and Construction industry in 1997. He oversees all functions of the Business and holds a Master and Journeyman Plumbing license. He is also certified with CEF & has completed OSHA 10 and TEXO safety 1st. Chris holds the Minority Business owned Certification within Salas Plumbing that is able to provide his clients with a benefit and opportunity to take on high profile projects. Together, with his wife Leslie, they are able to provide quality plumbing work while maintaining safety & core family values within their Company. Personally, Chris enjoys snowboarding and skiing with his family and friends as well as relaxing at the beach. He is also a diehard Dallas Cowboy & Texas Ranger fan.

Leslie Salas
Vice President & Safety Director
Leslie, along with husband Chris, comprise the “heart” of the Company. As Vice President and Safety Director she provides guidance and support to their Team. She started her journey in the Safety world in 1999 and then began in the Construction field in 2007. Her experience allows Salas Plumbing to take on high profile projects and maintain quality plumbing processes while keeping safety a high priority. Leslie is a Certified Safety & Health Official in Construction and General Industry, as well as an Authorized OSHA outreach Trainer in both areas. Personally, Leslie enjoys spending time with her Husband and Family. She loves to travel and use her creative side in projects such as pottery, watercolor painting, cooking, floral design and jewelry design. She also enjoys volunteering with her 2 children at an animal Orphanage in Dallas, TX.

Keith Powers
Vice President of Operations
Keith began his journey in the Plumbing industry in 1993. Keith has worked on projects ranging from high rise buildings, factories and even special events effects for concert venues. Keith holds a Master Plumbing license along with a Med-Gas endorsement. Keith has been a Plumbing Instructor for the State of Texas and has held a Plumbing Inspectors license at one time. Keith is married and enjoys date night with his wife and loves all types of water sports and boating.

Jose “Luis” Salas Senior
Journeyman Plumber
Luis began his Journey in the Plumbing industry in 1981. He began as an Apprentice and worked his way up throughout the industry and became a Licensed Journeyman Plumber in 1989. He immigrated from Mexico and became a legal US Citizen in 1993. Luis taught his son, Chris at an early age the skills of Plumbing and helped paved the way to success for all his children. He is known as the ‘Papa’ of the Salas Plumbing Family and is currently enjoying being semi-retired. He loves Plumbing and enjoys teaching others. Personally, Luis enjoys collecting baseball, football cards and autographs and is a die-hard Ranger fan. Luis is devoted to his Family and has never met a Stranger!

Ben Gilley
Chief Estimator
Ben has been in the plumbing and construction industry since 2004. He holds a Journeyman Plumbing license that he obtained in 2012 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from McMurry University. Personally, Ben is married with three children and enjoys spending time with his Family and golfing.

Juan Tobias
Estimator
Juan began his journey in the Plumbing industry in 2008. He obtained his plumbing certification in 2010 from Construction Education Foundation of North Texas. Juan holds a Journeyman Plumbing license that he obtained in 2013 with his Med-Gas endorsement that he obtained in 2017. In his 16 years of experience, he has been active in all aspects of plumbing: Apprentice, Foreman, Project Manager, and Estimator. Personally, Juan enjoys spending time with his family and traveling on his free time.

Joe Salas Jr
Senior Superintendent/Lead Quality Control
Joe brings a wealth of experience to the Plumbing/Construction industry since 1989, holding both Journeyman and Master Plumbing licenses. Joe has been active in all aspects of plumbing: installer, estimator, project manager, along with problem-solving. Notably, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1991 to 1993 as a torpedo weapon retriever at the San Diego Naval Base Point Loma, overseeing the operation deck and torpedo retri as a young sailor. Outside his plumbing career, Joe’s passion for baseball shines through his role as a seasoned umpire, officiating youth, JUCO, and adult amateur baseball games. In 2020, he was inducted into the DFW-ABA Hall of Fame. When not on the field or managing projects, Joe enjoys unwinding with Hallmark movies.

Tim Cray
Senior Project Manager
Timothy, a project manager of Salas Plumbing, holds a Master of Business Administration from Purdue University, a Bachelors in Sales Management, a PMP, and a master plumbing license in the great state of Texas! Timothy is an Army veteran that served with the 25ID “Tropic Lightning” right out of high school. He has been in the plumbing industry since 1999 as an employee and a business owner doing a wide variety of projects and has held/exercised endorsements for medical gas piping, and backflow assembly testing. He enjoys helping people and always has an encouraging word.
Personally, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife, violin and two cats. Among other things he enjoys bee keeping, Sundays and hot summers.

Stephen
Project Manager
Stephen, project manager with the Salas Plumbing team. Started in the industry in 2015. Gained most of his knowledge and field experience here in the Republic of Texas. Earned and hold a journeyman’s license in plumbing. In his free time, he loves to hang out with his wife and dog, enjoys going to STARS games, listening to live music, as well as hiking, camping and being in the water.

Greg LaRock
Project Manager
Greg is an Air Force Veteran who served in the Pacific Air Forces and Special Operations Command where he specialized in maintaining avionics systems and components on the C-17 Globemaster III and CV-22 Osprey aircraft. In 2022, Greg obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management with concentration in Project Management. He is currently furthering his education by pursuing his MBA in Project Management. Greg enjoys playing golf, watching football and spending time with his wife, two daughters, and dog.

Jonathan Gonzalez
Project Manager
Jonathan has held the title of Journeyman plumber for 5 years now, he has been in the industry since 2009. His passion for the industry has landed him into the role of Superintendent as of Jan of 2023. He has been with Salas since 2016.
When he is not plumbing or supervising Jonathan is at home with his family, 2 Boys and 1 Girl enjoying time with them and watching sports together. Lets GO COWBOYS!

Carl McHenry
Junior Estimator
Carl McHenry currently holds a Bachelors in Digital Arts and Design from Full Sail University and a Tradesman plumbing license. Carl began his career as a graphic designer and then transitioned into a plumber in Janurary of 2019 working for Salas Plumbing. After experiencing more of the residential side of plumbing Carl joined back with Salas Plumbing in October of 2022 as a Junior Estimator to combine both the skills of his Graphic design and plumbing experience.
Personally, Carl enjoys playing video games and collecting coins

William Sutherlin
Fleet Manager & Supervisor
William has been working in the plumbing/construction industry since 1989. He holds a Journeyman plumbing license and has worked on many large projects, including construction of the American Airlines Center in downtown Dallas. Personally, William is certified in advanced open water scuba diving and enjoys DIY projects and spending time with his granddaughter.

Lilly Ayala
Accounting Clerk & HR
Lilly has been working in the plumbing/construction industry since 2014. She is a Public Notary and handles the accounting department’s accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. Lilly is a proud mother of two children.

Sara Hernandez
Project Administrator
Sara has experience in banking and insurance but found her passion working in the construction industry in 2018 and joined our team in 2023. As our Project Administrator, she handles everything from technological issues to assisting our Project Manager’s with their daily tasks. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs and is a city girl who loves wearing her cowboy boots. Can I get a YEEHAW!

Bobby Colvin
Shop Manager
Bobby started his career in the sheet metal industry using his knowledge learned at South Plains College in refrigeration to adapt to the demands of this new career back in 1978. In 1987 he switched careers to the printing industry where he stayed in for 35 years as both a print operator and driver. In Sept 2022 Bobby joined the Salas Team as the Shop Manager.
When he isn’t in the shop Bobby is either Golfing or shopping for deals at a Thrift store. His vast collection of golf shoes is nothing to sneeze at either.

Tom Orlando
Shop Driver
Tom has been in the warehouse management industry for 47 years starting at Schwinn bicycles back in 1977. Tom began his journey at Salas back in August of 2022 as our Shop Driver providing our plumbers with material in the field.
Outside of work Tom likes to relax at home.

Paul Kilcrease
Superintendent
Paul has been in the plumbing and construction industry since 1996. He has experience in a variety of projects including churches, schools and restaurants. Paul holds a Journeyman Plumbing license with 30-hour OSHA, confined space and excavation safety certifications as well as CPR. Personally, Paul is happily married for 24 years with 3 children. He enjoys riding his Harley motorcycle and camping.

Zachary Nichols
Superintendent
Zachary Nichols, a third-generation licensed plumber, specializes in commercial construction. He has overseen numerous projects across the DFW area, including football stadiums, high-rise buildings, and office parks. He currently serves as our Field Superintendent at Salas Plumbing Inc. In his free time, Zachary enjoys barbecuing, watching his daughters compete in athletics, and attending concerts.

Joey Chavarria
Superintendent
Joey began his plumbing career as an apprentice in 2006 and earned his journeyman license in October of 2018. He has extensive experience working on large-scale projects, including churches, industrial buildings, and high-rise buildings, eventually progressing to lead, manage, and oversee similar projects. In his free time, Joey enjoys spending time with his family, caring for his dogs and plants, and pursuing home improvement and other projects. He’s passionate about learning and embraces new challenges. A natural leader with a strong work ethic, Joey believes in the motto “work hard, play hard.” He is known for his kindness and willingness to help others.
